Join us! We take an interdisciplinary approach to understand problems in geomicrobiology, thus there are research opportunities in fields ranging from molecular biology and genomics to biogeochemistry. Interactions with the Mineralogy and Materials Science Research Group are common and facilities include the Electron Microbeam Analysis Laboratory (EMAL), The University of Michigan DNA Sequencing Core, and the Collaborative Computing Data Unit.

Graduate students:  Positions are available for graduate students with a wide range of backgrounds including geology, chemistry, biology, bioinformatics, and environmental science.  For application information, click here.  Prospective students are encouraged to contact Greg Dick.

Postdoctoral Researchers: Prospective postdocs should contact Greg Dick.

The Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences offers a postdoctoral fellowship with highly competitive salary, travel and research funds, and benefits through the Turner Postdoctoral Fellowship program
