Nathan Niemi

Tectonics, Neotectonics, and Thermochronology

University of Michigan

Research Interests

Nathan Niemi's research interests are in continental deformation, with an emphasis on actively deforming tectonic systems. Detailed field mapping, neotectonic studies, geodesy, thermochronology and clumped and stable isotopes are some of the methods he applies to compare how crustal deformation is accommodated during orogenesis over a wide range of timescales, from decades to tens of millions of years.
